Luxury for your Mind, Body & Soul

Inside a new holistic wellness sanctuary

Life is busy, but people are being invited to slow down, block out the noise and transcend into stillness at a new holistic luxury wellness sanctuary.

Combining modern wellness, old-world warmth and soulful ritual, Soult is not a traditional spa – nor is it a clinical recovery centre. Instead, it’s a space designed for people who are craving a deeper sense of presence, peace, and connection to themselves and to life.

Co-founded by husband-and-wife team April and Jake, the San Remo locals have always been passionate about wellness. The couple cherish presence and meaning, whether that be by enjoying quiet days at home with their little girl Navy, spending time at the beach or park, having a coffee in bed on a slow weekend morning, or enjoying a long lunch at a nearby café.

April, the creative heart behind Soult Wellness Spa, has a deep passion for wellness, floristry, and gardening and believes in romanticising the little everyday moments that bring softness and beauty to life. She is drawn to ritual, sensory peace, and spaces that help people feel held, seen and restored.

April said that for her and Jake, the decision to create Soult came from a very personal space.

‘My husband and I are both lovers of wellness and spa treatments, but we always feel like they’re missing something… a journey from start to finish and time post treatment to reflect and unwind,’ April said.

‘We have reached a point in life where we notice just how many of us are moving through the world exhausted, overstimulated, and a little disconnected. Our space is designed to flow through at your own pace and not rush through it like any other appointment.’

April said it was important for them to not only focus on woman’s health, but to also encourage men to focus on their wellbeing as a whole.

Jake is passionate about supporting men’s wellness, particularly supporting new fathers with a dedicated space.  He believes in creating opportunities for men to reconnect with themselves, to dream, slow down, and talk to one another to feel supported through life’s transitions.

His values around strength, vulnerability and community are woven into Soult’s philosophy.

‘(We want to encourage men to) walk, journal, dream, relax and unwind to be the best version of themselves they can be,’ April said. ‘We wanted to build somewhere that felt like a gentle homecoming. A space where even the busiest, hardest-working, most overstretched person could arrive, leave their armour at the door, and remember who they are beneath the roles and responsibilities.’

At Soult, the services are designed to work in harmony with the body, the mind and the spirit.

Guests can benefit from infrared sauna sessions, traditional group steam sauna and cold plunge, mindful rituals, relaxation massage, a salt room, a meditation and quiet lounges, and floatation therapy.

‘A float session involves effortlessly “floating” in a private float pod filled with body temperate water and a high concentration of magnesium-rich Epsom salts. This allows the body to become effortlessly buoyant, creating a sensation similar to zero-gravity,’ April said.

‘The water is heated to skin temperature, and the environment can be completely free of sound and light, encouraging a deep state of rest and internal stillness. You can listen to relaxing music in the pod taking you on a sound journey and change the light settings for comfort.

‘With no pressure on muscles or joints, and minimal sensory input, the nervous system shifts into deep rest mode. It’s an invitation into stillness.’

As for salt therapy, also known as halotherapy, guests recline and breathe deeply as a halo generator disperses microscopic medical-grade salt particles into the air. These particles are naturally antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and deeply cleansing.

As you inhale, the salt travels through the respiratory system, helping to clear the lungs, soothe inflammation and support easy, open breathing. On the skin, it gently cleanses, calms and promotes natural repair.

‘It is a holistic wellness practice inspired by centuries old European traditions,’ April said.  ‘Its origins trace back to the salt mines of Eastern Europe, where it was discovered that miners working deep underground surrounded by fine, naturally aerosolised salt had remarkably healthy lungs and glowing skin.

‘Since then, modern halotherapy rooms have been created to mimic this therapeutic microenvironment, infusing medical-grade salt into the air to support breathing, skin health, and deep nervous-system relaxation.’

Guests will be able to experience any of Soult’s services through one-off bookings, or they can purchase a membership so that they can weave wellness into their everyday life.

Members receive ongoing access to the wellness and spa space, including sauna and float therapies, salt room, spa packages and rituals along with exclusive benefits, priority bookings and special pricing on treatments and retail.

‘(The memberships are a) way to experience Soult consistently, allowing deeper nervous-system rest, routine self-connection, and long-term wellbeing support,’ April said. ‘Every member is welcomed and cared for with the same warmth and intention as a first-time guest, making Soult feel like a second home a place to reset, breathe and return to yourself, again and again.’

April said it was important that all guests leave the spa feeling lighter, softer and clearer – more connected to their body, their breath, and their inner self.

‘We hope they rediscover space in their mind, peace in their nervous system, and a renewed sense of self-awareness,’ she said. ‘Most importantly, we want people to feel like they belong here. Like they have permission to slow down, to rest, to receive, and to breathe deeply again. Soult is a sanctuary for presence, for connection, for remembering the beauty in simply being.’

Soult will be opening in January 2025. Follow @soultwellness on Instagram to stay up to date or to join the membership waitlist.
